With heavy hearts, NEPBA remembers Senior Master Patrol Officer Brian J. Landry, who passed away on October 20, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.
A Lifetime of Public Service
Officer Landry dedicated over 23 years to serving the community through the Derry Police Department, where he served with integrity, compassion, and unwavering commitment. He was more than an officer on patrol, he was a mentor, a guide, and a trusted leader among his colleagues.
Champion for Youth
Brian’s impact reached far beyond patrol duties. He served as a school resource officer in local schools — including middle schools and Pinkerton Academy — where he built lasting relationships with students. Students remember him as approachable, kind, and always willing to listen. He joined them for ping-pong, volleyball, and everyday school life, offering encouragement and being a positive presence.
Family Man & Friend
At home, Brian was a devoted husband to his wife, Courtney, and loving father to his sons, Tyson and Jake. He was also a cherished son to his parents, Paul and Catherine, and a beloved brother to Michael and Krislyn. The love he poured into his family was matched by the warmth he shared with extended family, friends, and fellow officers.
A Legacy of Resilience
Even as he faced illness, Brian showed dignity, courage, and humility. He continued to touch lives, support others, and stood as an example of strength in adversity.In lieu of flowers, Brian wished for donations to be made to the New Hampshire Law Enforcement Cancer and Charitable Foundation, Inc., an organization that supported him and continues to aid law enforcement families facing similar battles.
A Community Mourns
The outpouring of condolences from law enforcement agencies, colleagues, students, and community members reflects the deep respect and affection in which Brian was held. A Police Walkthrough tribute at the start of calling hours serves as a reminder of the bond shared by those who serve, and of the lasting imprint he leaves behind.
His memory is one of kindness, mentorship, professionalism, and unwavering service. Brian J. Landry leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire those he served and protected, and those who knew him best.
