SHELBURNE POLICE UNION, LOCAL 413 SETTLES FIRST CONTRACT

New England Police Benevolent Association Local 413 in Shelburne, Vermont recently negotiated its first contract as members of New England PBA, and according to the membership, it’s a good one.
Local 413, Shelburne Police Benevolent Association certified with New England PBA in June 15, 2015. Immediately, New England PBA began negotiating a contract for the hard working officers and dispatchers of Shelburne. Thereafter, Local 413 voted to ratify a new three year agreement. “I am very pleased with the process and the outcome of these negotiations. The local and administration worked very well together during these negotiations,” said New England Police Benevolent Association State Director Sean R. McArdle. “I credit the local’s bargaining team for being well prepared for each session in order to have this great contractual outcome.”
“It did take some time to achieve this agreement as we needed to have a two Federal Mediators get involved in these negotiations to reach a fair settlement. Our members were patient and it paid off. We were able to increase wages and creating a strong collective bargaining agreement.” McArdle concluded.
