NEPBA spending time with key supporter, Representative Tim Whelan 1st Barnstable District

Kristen Hart, President of NEPBA Weymouth Local 107 joined MA Legislative Director Paul Larkham at a reception for Representative Tim Whelan in Boston Monday night.

Representative Whelan has been a staunch supporter of the NEPBA, Public Safety, and Public Service employees since arriving on Beacon Hill after a career with the Mass State Police.

One of NEPBA’s 2016 “Legislator of the Year recipients, Tim holds membership on the House Ways and Means Committee, and the Joint Committee on Public Service, both of which play an important role in successful passage of bills directly affecting our members.

The evening allowed for extended discussion between Kristen, the Representative and his staff, on the importance of bills like House Bill 1449, “Group 2 for all Emergency Telecommunicators in the Commonwealth”.
