NEPBA ATTENDS PARITY RALLY HB3441
On Thursday May 9th NEPBA Director Jerry Flynn, Executive Secretary Bill Ryan and Legislative Director Paul Larkham attended a pay parity rally at the State House in Boston.
County Correctional Officers perform the same job and face the same dangers as their state counterparts however; they are significantly underpaid when compared to state correctional officers.
A large contingent of Worcester County Correctional Officers led by Local 550 President Kevin Carlo meet with the Senate Chairman of the Joint Committee on Public Safety Michael Moore and Representative Hank Naughton who is the House Chairman of the Joint Committee on Public Safety in regards to HB3441. Both Senator Moore and Representative Naughton pledged to support this important piece of legislation.
