Social Experiment is Over in New Hampshire, Governor Ayotte signs common sense Bail Reform Bill
True to her word to support NH Law Enforcement, Governor Kelly Ayotte signed into law a Bill, restoring common sense bail reform that overturns the liberal reforms enacted into law a few years ago allowing criminals to be released prior to trial. The previous, disastrous Bill was signed into law by former Governor Sununu, a republican. Sununu tried to fix his mistake late in his last year of his 6-year term, but the damage was done, allowing countless criminals out on bail ahead of trial. The new law calls for higher or no bail for violent criminals charged with high risk and significant felonious crimes.
In her press release Governor Ayotte stated “The broken bail law was a failed social experiment that created a revolving door for violent criminals in our state. Today, we slammed that revolving door shut”.
The NEPBA was proud to endorse and support Governor Ayotte.
