NEPBA OVERWHELMING WINS ELECTION OF WESTBOROUGH POLICE OFFICER’S UNION AS IBPO KO’S AND MASSCOP BID TO INTERVENE DENIED BY A VOTE OF 20-3

(Boston) The Massachusetts Division of Labor conducted an election for the exclusive bargaining representative of the Westborough Police Officer’s Union in a four-way bid to represent the nearly 30 members of the union. The NEPBA won the election by a vote of 20-3 with IBPO & NO UNION receiving ZERO VOTES, while MASSCOP received a poultry 3 votes.

New England PBA won a clear and decisive victory over IBPO, the former Heavyweight Champion of labor, in much the same way George Forman knocked out Joe Frazier. . . “DOWN GOES FRAZIER” said NEPBA Executive Vice President Tom Daly who was the New England PBA representative present as IBPO scored ZERO votes. The embarrassing loss by IBPO to NEW ENGLAND PBA was the 3rd law enforcement labor organization to dump IBPO in the last two weeks, with several others on the horizon.

In a desperate attempt to intervene in the process, MASSCOP attempted to garner support by begging members to sign cards to get on the ballot and in the end got less votes than the original 4 cards (10%) they submitted to be on the ballot. NEPBA Secretary-Treasurer Sean McArdle, stated “MASSCOP apparently thinks their yearly BOOZE PARTY is what representation is all about, NEPBA knowns differently!”

Executive Director Jerry Flynn, called IBPO an embarrassment to the law enforcement community and called their parent organization NAGE/SEIU, “the lefty liberals who are using the dues of hard working and dedicated police officers to bail out criminals and endorse political whack-jobs with their anti-police radical agenda.”

Flynn further states, a “fish rots from the head down and in this case the IBPO is the biggest fish in the pond of social injustice and anti-police rhetoric.

NEPBA President Chris Ryan stated, “the NEPBA is proud to represent the dedicated and hardworking women and men of the Westborough Police Union and we will give them the representation they deserve – but have never received under the IBPO.”   President Ryan reiterated, “NEPBA and its Executive Committee & Executive Board represent our organization – NOT a law firm!”
