Ron Scaccia is an experienced and knowledgeable labor leader who has achieved success in every aspect of his law enforcement career. Ron served twenty-four years as a police officer in the State of New Hampshire , until his retirement from the Nashua Police Department. As a patrolman, Ron served three (3) terms as President of the Nashua Police Patrolman's Union with a membership of over 150 sworn officers. Ron was promoted to the rank of Sergeant with the Nashua Police Department and upon his retirement in 2002; he was recruited by former IBPO National Vice President Jerry Flynn and became a National Representative for the IBPO. During that time, Ron represented over 40 locals in the state of New Hampshire and within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts .
As an experienced negotiator, Ron has achieved tremendous contractual success for those locals he has represented and is well rounded in all aspects of labor relations. He has extensive knowledge in interest arbitration, mediation and fact-finding and is considered an expert in the field of police labor relations in the state of New Hampshire . As a founding member of the New England PBA, Ron has recently focused his attention on the area of organizing and has done a remarkable job recruiting police locals within the state of New Hampshire .
Ron is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Lowell with a B.S. in Criminal Justice and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University. He also attended the Command Training Program at Babson College and is a graduate of the National Labor College-George Meaney Center.
Ron is the proud father of two children and is extremely active in several youth hockey groups in New Hampshire, where he is often seen skating on the ice as an experienced referee.
