NEW ENGLAND PBA LEGAL TEAM FIGHTS OFF FIRST OF MANY QUINN BILL LEGAL BATTLES
HOLBROOK SELECTMEN REVERSE DECISION TO STOP FUNDING QUINN BILL!
(Holbrook) The fight started when Town officials informed the Holbrook Patrolmen’s Association, NEPBA Local 88 that since the State had drastically underfunded the Quinn Bill program, the Town believed it was free to end its involvement. Making matters worse, the Town did not even tell the Union of its plan until July 1, 2009 - the week that their checks were to be reduced. This move by the Town caused considerable hardship on the membership - with no notice, members’ checks were short hundreds of dollars.
