NEPBA NH DOC BREAKFAST AND INFORMATIONAL RALLY

All day event

The breakfast will be held at The Barley House, 132 North Main Street, Concord, NH across from the State House, from 8am – 9:30am and the rally will immediately follow at the State House.

The NEPBA and the New Hampshire DOC Officers and Supervisors will be joined by members of the American Correctional Officer Intelligence Network and Presidents of Correctional Locals from across the country in a show of support regarding the dangerously low staffing levels in NH DOC facilities.

These dangerously low staffing levels combined with the proposed closing of the Laconia, NH facility and the upcoming layoffs by the NH DOC are all being used to pursue possible privatization of the NH Corrections System. With all this going on why is the Commissioner’s Office Budget being increased while staff is being laid off??? According to National statistics there are 11 in the line of duty deaths that occur in Correctional Facilities across the Country – at these rates how long until one occurs in New Hampshire??? Please come and join us at the Legislative Breakfast and the Rally to help support the Men and Women who keep our State safe and learn some interesting facts about the NH DOC.

The New England Police Benevolent Association, Inc and the New Hampshire Department of Corrections Officers and Supervisors, will be holding a Legislative Breakfast and an Informational Rally on Wednesday March 25, 2009.
