Jeffrey C. Cote

Sergeant Jeffrey Cote has been a Police Officer in the Somerset Police Dept. since 1982. Jeff has served in a variety of capacities in the Department including in the Detective Division, D.A.R.E. Officer, School Resource Officer, and his current position of Sergeant/Patrol Supervisor. Sgt. Cote also recently became a Captain with the Somerset Police Marine Unit. Sergeant Cote has been active in his Local Union since the early 1980’s. He has served as Secretary Treasurer, Vice President, and President of his Local. Jeff became a regional Vive President with the New England Police Benevolent Association in October of 2007. Sgt. Cote is also a longtime member of the Massachusetts Police Association, and the Southeastern Massachusetts Labor Council. Jeff recently led a movement that brought Somerset Police Lieutenants into the Local Union, and N.E.P.B.A. family. Sgt. Cote is a Graduate of Somerset High School, and the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth with a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice. Jeff lives in Swansea Mass. With his wife Donna, daughters Meghan and Erin, grandson Connor, and three canine friends, Copper, Chloe, and Owen. Sgt. Cote is an active skier, hiker, and enjoys canoeing. »
