HB532, which was introduced once again by our good buddy Rep. Hawkins, which would limit your retirement calculations to only your base pay was heard before the Executive Departments and Administration Committee today.  The bill was voted down by the Comm. By a vote of 12-6.

  Of Course this does not satisfy Mr. Hawkins as he has indicated there will be a minority report submitted to the house on this matter.   I am not sure what this guys problem is except that he feels it is unfair that people like his wife have to work more years and cannot calculate overtime etc. into her retirement.   We will continue to keep you up to date as the many bills that are in the house filed to change your retirement go through process.  As Steve has maintained all along, our friends are on the Senate side and when these bills get sent over there, that is when we will be able to honestly negotiate the impact of these bills.     Fraternally,   Paul Larkham
